300 Wins!!
Tom Glavine became the 23rd pitcher in MLB history to win 300 games. Glavine is the 5th left hander to ever accomplish this feat. The New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs 8-3. Tom Glavine had this to say “As a player and a person, you want people to respect you and respect what you’re about,” Glavine said. “The response tonight was overwhelming. That’s something you never expect to hear on the road.” With the win the Mets remain in first place and gear up for the battle against the Braves tonight.
