Who is this man?
Is this the look of a man that has done everything the right way? That is a question others in the media would answer yes. In the age of steroids Roger Clemens has eluded scandal like hitters ( other than Mike Piazza) with one of his high and tight fastballs. Again just like I wrote about Sammy Sosa, Clemens has yet to fail a drug test. This is true but when take the first four months of the season off it’s hard to fail a test. The point I’m trying to make is how come noone has questioned a near 45 year old man throwing in the high 90’s? Yes Nolan Ryan did it but I think we all know he was a freak of nature. A former Arizona Diamondback pitcher, Jason Grimsley, named Clemens and Andy Pettit as performance enhancing drug users and still no questions for the golden boy. Don’t get me wrong 350 victories is outstanding , amazing even , in this day and age. If Clemens can go to the Hall of Fame with no question than I think the questions surrounding Barry Bonds needs to stop. In the immortal words of Martin Lawrence in “Boomerang” “it’s racial man it’s racial”.
