New York Wins

Written on June 15, 2007 – 8:26 pm | by Harry Robinson |

The subway series was at a fever pitch on Friday night in Yankee stadium  The rival N.Y.Mets came in from the other side of town.  The Mets who have been awful has lost  9 out of 10.  They’re trying to get thier groove back by taking on the hot Yanks who have won 9 in a row.  On paper it all seemed to be pointing the Yankees way.  With Roger Clemons on the hill it seemed to be a wrap for the Mets, But sports is not played on paper they’re played on the field.  Jose Reyes had three hits one and upper deck shot. That helped the Mets snapped thier losing streak and give them the win 2-0.  Oliver Perez  pithched and outstanding game.  He was able to out pitch the rocket.  Perez struck out six and walked three.

Billy Wagner came out he ball pen and help slam the door on the Yankees nine game winnng streak.  The win puts Perez at 7-5 Clemons goes to 1-1 and wagner saved his 15th game of the season.
