Braves Win!!!

The Atlanta Braves pull off probably their most significant win of the year with the 9-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs last night. Things did not look promosing in the beginning, with Tim Hudson getting roughed up in the first two innings and giving up four runs. Hudson also had to leave the game last night due to and injury. Jaques Jones hit a hard grounder in the begining of the third inning, injuring Hudson an causing his leg to swell. due to this injury, Hudson could no longer continue. To replace Hudson was the hero, Peter Moylan, the first of five relievers who were responsible for seven scoreless innings. The timely hitting of Andrew Jones and Edgar Renteria of the Braves rejuvenated the team and caused a storm of enthusiasm which lead to a win for the Atlanta Braves. Manager Bobby Cox was pleased with the bullpen stating that “All goose eggs for the bullpen — that was a lifesaver tonight”.
