Braves Out Slug Cubs!!!
Last night forget about the Sopranos causing a big stir. How about the new rivarly Cubs vs. Braves? This all seem to take place when Alfonso Soriano, of the Cubs, hit three homeruns against the Braves. So on Saturday night Braves pitcher Tim Hudson wanted to send a little message to Mr. Soriano, and was hit by a pitch. Well last night it was Ted Lilly’s turn to respond and he did by hitting Braves shortstop Edgar Renteria. Both benches came on the field and then out of the blue umpire Jim Wolf ejected Cubs pitcher Ted Lilly. Lou Pinella, Cubs Manager, “It took him a while to decide that, but he came to that conclusion,” Pinella said. “I don’t quite understand it.” Edgar Renteria then went on stealing second and delivering a forearm shiver to Cubs second baseman Mike Fontenot on the tag. Renteria left the game in the fourth inning with a contusion to his left hand. The Braves had timely hitting by Kelly Johnson, Willie Harris, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Scott Thorman. Atlanta was able to pull ofF the victory with a 5-4 win.
